M.01 Online Forms
What’s the point of getting a customer to view your website if you don’t know that they’re doing it? Capturing information about your customers is a vital part of your marketing strategy so this is an important factor to consider when developing your site. You may wish to do this with a simple Enquiry Form, or perhaps capture more information using a Custom Form. Alternatively, you may wish to get them to sign-up to a free Email Newsletter which you send out periodically. Whatever you choose, make sure you are getting information about your customers so that you can continue to market your products and services to them.

M.01A Standard Enquiry Form
You need to make it easy for your prospects and customers to communicate with you. Having your standard contact details such as your phone, fax and email address are a good start however a number of your prospects will be viewing your website from remote locations where they don’t have an email account setup on their system. For this reason it is important that you include a Standard Enquiry Form on the ‘Contact Us’ page of your website. The Standard Enquiry Form has Name, Email and Phone as required fields and includes a drop-down list of ‘How you found us’ options along with a ‘Comments’ text box. Once a user submits an enquiry using the Standard Enquiry Form, this gets emailed to a designated email address. The information can also be sent to you via Fax Notification or SMS Notification (max 161 characters).

M.01B Custom Form
If your business would like to collect more detailed information from your customers when they enquire about your products or services then a Custom Form will need to be developed. This is similar to a Standard Enquiry Form except that you specify which additional fields you would like your Custom Form to include. The form fields can include text string, text box, radio buttons (only one selection allowed), check boxes (multiple selections allowed), and drop-list boxes (also known as ‘combo’ boxes). By default, the information submitted in the form is sent to a designated email address however if requested, KDG can store the information in a database or Microsoft Excel table which can be downloaded. As with the Standard Enquiry Form, the information in the Custom Form can also be sent via Fax Notification or SMS Notification.

M.01C Testimonials Form
If you believe your business provides great products/services backed by great customer service then why not make it easy for your customers to write a testimonial about a great experience they had with your company. KDG’s Testimonials Form is the perfect tool for capturing positive feedback from your customers. The form is placed on your website to allow satisfied customers to enter their Name, Suburb, Email Address (optional) and Testimonial/Feedback. Once they send you the feedback, the information gets stored in the database for approval and an email is automatically sent to inform you that the Testimonial has been submitted. Once you have logged into the system and approved or modified the testimonial you can click the ‘Approve and Post’ button and the testimonial will be instantly uploaded to your websites Testimonials Page. The system keeps an archive or past testimonials and you can select how many testimonials you would like displayed and where you would like them displayed on your website (ie. In the main content area or side panel, if available). Any negative feedback or offensive criticisms can be deleted or stored but not uploaded for future reference.



M.02 Email Newsletters
If your business sends out regular printed newsletters to your customers, why not save money on printing and postage by using KDG’s Email Newsletters. Email Newsletters let you keep in touch with your customers and prospects, increase product awareness, promote events, and advertise opportunities.

M.02A Email Newsletter Builder
KDG have developed an intuitive Email Newsletter Builder which integrates into your Kinetic Site Manager software. This tool lets you build as many Email Newsletters as you like. Initially, KDG will design a custom newsletter template to match your businesses branding and then we’ll give you the tools to create as many additional Email Newsletters as often as you like within the template.
Using the Kinetic Content Manager’s powerful editing tools, you’ll be able to add, edit, format and delete text, upload images, and even create hyperlinks to your website from the email newsletter. Once you’ve finished designing your email newsletter, simply click the ‘Save’ button and enter the name of the email newsletter campaign (eg. New Product Promotion 2005). The system will then automatically create a HTML version of the newsletter on your website and send you an email of the newsletter so that you can forward it on to your target audience from your emailing program (eg. Outlook). For the subscribers that can not view HTML files, the system will automatically prepare a text version of the newsletter and will also provide a link to view the HTML version on your website.

If you would like to offer your customers the ability to automatically sign-up to your mailing list from your website so that you can manage your email campaigns effectively then you need to integrate KDG’s Email List Manager. M.02B Mailing List Opt-in Form
The quickest way for you to build a qualified database of your potential customers is to offer a Mailing List Opt-in Form somewhere on your website – preferably the ‘Home’ page. You will have invested a large portion of your online marketing budget towards attracting prospective customers to your website so once they get there, make sure you at least get their Name and Email address so you can keep in contact with them. Statistically it takes an average of 7 interactions before a prospect purchases from you for the first time. Although a small percentage of your visitors will choose to purchase from you after visiting your website for the first time, the majority of your visitors will only buy from you once they are satisfied that your organisation is reputable and trust-worthy. Based on these facts it is more than likely that you will need to nurture the relationship by maintaining regular contact with your prospects.

The quickest and most cost-effective method of keeping contact with a large number of prospects is with the use of an Email Newsletter. Even if you don’t currently produce a regular newsletter you should start capturing your prospects names and email addresses. You may decide to run a special promotion in the future so even if you don’t have a newsletter, collect their details and send them the details of promotion. Offering this level of customer interaction will greatly leverage all your marketing efforts.

KDG’s Mailing List Opt-in Form usually has just two fields, Name and Email, however you may wish to include a field for Surname if you wish. The form may appear on your Home page either in the main text area or in the side panel. You may also wish to have the form appear as a pop-up however this is not recommended as modern web browser have pop-up blocker software. By default, the information submitted in the form is sent to a designated email address however if requested, KDG can store the information in a database or Microsoft Excel table which can be downloaded.

M.02C Email List Manager
Having an Email Newsletter is great but how do you get people to sign-up to your newsletter and how do you manage your subscribers? KDG’s Email List Manager is the perfect tool to complement the Email Newsletter Builder. It lets subscribers sign-up from your website via a simple form or lets you import subscribers directly into the database from any .CSV compatible file such as an Excel spreadsheet or Access database. You can even classify your subscribers into Groups so you can send different newsletters to different groups such as customers, prospects, suppliers, members etc.

All subscribers are given the opportunity to unsubscribe from your database by simply clicking the ‘Unsubscribe’ button at the bottom of each newsletter (automatically generated). This ensures that your emails comply with the Australian SPAM Act.

The Email List Manager also has a basic emailing function which lets you send any of the email newsletters created using the Email Newsletter Builder to either selected groups or your entire email mailing list. This system only sends out your emails but it does not track whether the email was successfully received or any other click-through statistics such as ‘number of emails opened’. If you would like to have this kind of functionality, you’ll need to integrate KDG’s premium Email Campaign Tracker.

M.02D Email Campaign Tracker
If you want to know how well each of your email campaigns are performing then you need to add the Email Campaign Tracker as part of your emailing marketing system. The Email Campaign Tracker works together with the Email Newsletter Builder and Email List Manager to track the success and manage the effectiveness of each campaign.

The system tracks each campaign’s effectiveness by tracking key metrics such as number of emails opened, viewing time, click-throughs to website etc. These metrics are then presented in reports for easy analysis; ensuring that every campaign will contribute to the continual improvement of your marketing strategies. M.03 Premium Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
The best service to boost traffic to your website would be to invest in KDG’s Premium Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) service. This involves an in-depth and comprehensive keyword analysis and submission service for your website. It takes about 20 to 24 hours man hours to initially setup. and continues for a period of 12 months. During the year, you will be emailed a monthly report showing you how your website ranked on various search engines under your selected keywords. The service includes a number of key phases:

1. Initial series of ‘spidering’ tests to ensure compatibility with major search engines;

2. Assistance in selecting suitable Title, Keywords and Description Meta tags (inc. alternatives);

3. Ranking and optimisation of keywords, and proof-reading of Title and Description Meta Tags;

4. Improve search engine ranking using robot.txt files, revisits, ratings, languages etc;

5. Configuring our submission servers to automatically submit the website to each of the major search engines for each of the optimised keywords, to the maximum allowable amounts;

6. Conduct a check of the website for any broken links;

7. At the end of each quater a detailed report is emailed to the Client which identifies the exact ranking position of each page and each keyword on each of the search engines. This is a great marketing tool!



M.04 Banner Advertising System
If your website or web portal is getting a considerable amount of traffic and your business is seen as an industry leader, why not generate additional revenue by serving banner advertising on your website and/or your email newsletters? KDG’s Banner Advertising System is a powerful banner management system which lets you upload any number of banners and control their placement, rotation (cyclic or random), priority, and viewing time (per rotation). The system has predefined dimensions for both Header (horizontal) and Panel (vertical) Banner Ads, and supports image files (.GIF, .JPG etc.) and Flash® files ( .FLA, .SWF etc.). You can also set hyperlinks for each banner and an optional system can automatically track the number of click-throughs for each of your clients. A printable report of the click-throughs is available if required.



M.05 Survey Generator
Find out what your customers think of your business, products, services, promotions or anything else that you want to measure. With KDG’s Survey Generator, you can create and publish surveys and questionnaires directly to your website and view detailed online response reports. The system allows you to create web survey questions with any type of answers including Set Answers, Yes/No Answers, Ratings 1-3, 1-5, 1-10, Text Areas for written answers and even website Polls. Every survey created also generates its own unique reporting format, so that the results of the survey can be easily assessed. The report lists the question, the answer(s), the number of responses for each question and the percentage contribution based on the total number of responses. You can also configure how long a survey is valid for so that the system automatically closes the survey after it expires.



M.06 Viral Marketing

M.06A Viral Marketing – Referral Form
KDG’s Viral Marketing Referral Form is a marketing tool that can either sit on your website or in your email newsletter and gives your visitors, customers or subscribers the ability to quickly and easily inform their friends and colleagues about your website, your products or your current promotions.

When the person completes the form and enters their friends’ emails, the system captures the information and sends a predefined email to the friends email addresses listed. This email may be a simple message saying “Your friend “……..” has invited you to visit this website – www.yourbusiness.com.au” or it may be your latest HTML newsletter or promotional postcard. The possibilities are endless.

M.06B Viral Marketing - Click-Through Tracking
If you would like to monitor the performance of your Viral Marketing Referral Form, KDG can upgrade the system to include a Click-Through Tracking component. The system will automatically send you an email every time the system has been used. The Click-Through Tracking module will also record the number of click-throughs generated by each referral. A monthly printable report is also automatically generated and emailed to your email address.



M.07 SMS Campaigns

You can also have the user send a buzz word and their email address to a number and the system sends a rich email back to the user containing further information on your product or inviting them to take further action. You can even configure the system to send back different information depending on which buzz words they send (eg. product name, weather, movies etc.).
