Web Content Options
C.01 Content Section Creation & Data Entry
Every website needs content sections (ie. pages) and content. KDG can create each content section you require, paying careful attention to the Title Bar, Keywords and Description for each of your sections as this will boost your Search Engine Ranking (SER). Please note that we will need you to provide the content first before we create any sections as this content will be used to derive the most appropriate Title Bar, Keywords and Description for each section. All the data (website content and images) provided by you or produced by us (eg. Copywriting, Photography etc.) is then entered into the website and proofed by our data entry team for spelling and grammatical errors*.
Additional sections can be created as required once your website goes live or you can choose to add as many sections as you like later on using the Kinetic Site Manager. The Content Sections will be accessed using your websites Navigation Menu and a linked Sitemap will be automatically generated to help your users easily navigate your website.


*Note: Each section allows for up to 5 A4 pages of text and up to 5 images. Additional data entry will be charged accordingly.
C.02 Copywriting
They say that “Content is King” on the internet and for good reason. Search engines such as Google.com consider the quality of content as one of the most important elements when ranking sites. All too often businesses loose out on achieving a great ranking because their content is poorly written; lacking keywords and consequently resulting in low or non-existent rankings for these keywords.
If it’s results you’re after, then KDG can arrange for a professional Copywriter to visit your premises and conduct an interview with you to analyse your business, it’s history, the products and services offered and your competitive uniques. They will then formulate a list of keywords to be used in the website copy to ensure that your site ranks well on Google and other search engines. The Copywriter will then prepare professional copy (content) for use on the various sections of your website. The information prepared can also be used for other marketing material such as brochure, flyers and other print advertisements if required.
C.03 Professional Photography
KDG can arrange for one of our professional Photographers to take high resolution photos of your premises (exterior and/or interior), products, people, or anything else you need photographed. They will schedule a time based on your availability and will come out to you. If you require product photos, please specify and we’ll arrange for our Photographers to bring all the right back-drops to make your products stand out.
C.03 Professional Photography
KDG can arrange for one of our professional Photographers to take high resolution photos of your premises (exterior and/or interior), products, people, or anything else you need photographed. They will schedule a time based on your availability and will come out to you. If you require product photos, please specify and we’ll arrange for our Photographers to bring all the right back-drops to make your products stand out.
Depending on your type of business and the products or services offered, it may be necessary to use a photographic studio and/or models. If these services are required, KDG can arrange the studio and/or models based on your requirements. Please discuss your requirements with your Consultant as these additional services are quoted separately. The photography service includes travel to and from your premises (within 30 kilometres of the CBD), setup of equipment, product styling (if required) and shooting of high quality, digital images. All our Photographers are trained professionals and use the most sophisticated equipment money can buy. Although the images are shot specifically for website use, we can provide high resolution print-ready images if required.
C.04 Virtual Tours
If your location is a selling point, then why not promote it online using KDG’s Virtual Tour technology is the Clients can also choose to have 360o panoramic photographs taken of their location. This provides website users with 360 degree x 360 degree virtual view of the location, as if they were standing in the room. If more than one 360 degree photo is taken, these can be combined to provide users with a Virtual Tour of the location.
Users can either click on a map with hotspots or on hotspots in the photo such as doorways to move from room to room. Please call KDG to discuss this option in more detail. Note: all Virtual Tours include creation of the web link and viewing application.
C.05 Image Gallery System
If you have a number of images that you would like displayed on your website then the most popular way is by using KDG’s Image Gallery System. Users can quickly scan through your selection of images, click on the thumbnails of their choice and view a larger version of the image without having to wait for every image to load full-size. The system not only saves time for the user but it also reduces the download bandwidth. The Image Gallery System is directly integrated with KDG’s Kinetic Site Manager ™ (KSM) software to make it easy to update your image gallery. Simply select the upload option, choose the image you wish to upload and click upload. The system will then automatically resize your image to the preset thumbnail size and unlike some applications, will actually save and compress the thumbnail image to ensure the smallest file size on your website. The system also lets you rename images and delete unwanted images.
C.06 Logo
If your business does not have an official logo or if you are not happy with the quality of your current business logo, KDG’s Graphic Designers can redesign your logo so that it not only looks great but also conveys your message and helps to build your brand. Today’s customers are very image conscious so it is important to have a logo that represents your company as being modern and forward thinking. The fact that your business has (or is getting) a website is testament to this fact. KDG have 3 Logo Design options to suit your business:

C.06A Logo - Recreation: If you already have a logo but it is either poor quality or it can only be supplied to us in a printed format (eg. on a business card or brochure), then this service will be required. KDG will scan your logo, digitally recreate the logo and save it in a format suitable for your website (not suitable for print).C.06B Logo - Design: If your business does not have a logo or brand, KDG’s Graphic Designers can create a logo and colour scheme that will be suitable for use on your website. The service includes a detailed business analysis, concept art, and selected logo design created in .GIF format (not suitable for print).
C.06C Logo - Print Ready: If you need to use the logo recreated or designed by KDG in print material, you’ll need to get it converted into vector format. This involves have one of our Graphic Designers tracing your existing logo using vector paths and then saving it in either .EPS or .AI format for use in print material.
C.07 Multimedia
Multimedia provides the most engaging user experience on the Internet. KDG have a range of multimedia options to help you attract and retain customers to your website. If you feel that your website is too static and could use a bit of animation then a Flash® Animated Intro or Animated Header is the solution. Capture your target markets attention with a short Flash® Animation that promotes your brand, image and product/service offerings.
C.07A Animated Intros: In consultation with you, KDG’s Multimedia Developer’s will story-board, design and create a short Animated Intro using Macromedia Flash® that introduces the company and its products in an audio-visual format. Animated Intros are typically 5 to 10 seconds in length and the animation can be skipped at any time*.C.07B Animated Header: Based on your websites design, KDG’s Multimedia Developer’s will create a Flash® Animated Header that seamlessly integrates into your interface and complements your brand, logo and theme. The Animated Header can be set to loop continuously or play once. Animated Headers are typically 5 seconds in length*.
C.07C Streaming Video: If you would like to display videos on your website don’t make people wait to download large video files. Let your users view the videos virtually instantly with KDG’s Streaming Video option. Simply send KDG your video files on a CD or DVD and we’ll compress them, configure them for streaming and post the link on your website. This service is charged per video file. Custom, high resolution, high traffic video streaming options are available.
C.07D Streaming Audio: Promote your message loud and clear by including an audio track on your website. For example, you may like to put some lounge style background music to set the mood or have your marketing messages playing on your site. Audio tracks can be programmed to loop continuously or played through once only. Our developers can also integrate different audio tracks (royalties may apply for commercial music) on different sections so visitors hear the marketing message that relates to the information they are reading. This form of advertising ensures a higher retention of information. KDG can also arrange for professional voice talent and studio recording if required. Please speak to your Consultant to arrange a quote for these services.
* Note: If you require a longer animation, this will need to be story-boarded and quoted separately. Complex story-board requirements are also quoted separately.
C.08 Animated Assistants
Add some life to your website by incorporating Animated Assistants to guide users through your website. KDG can design the characters by customising their features, colouring and wardrobe. Give us an idea of what sort of Animated Assistants you would like and we’ll create them for you. We can even have any number of backgrounds so that they match the sites colour scheme and design. You can also upload pre-recorded audio files created in .WAV or .MP3 format or even use the application to create an unlimited number of audio messages.
We can also program the Animated Assistants to trigger an interactive response based on user clicks, rollovers and cookies. These Animated Assistants can be published not only on KDG websites but also in emails, ad banners and other external media. The Text-to-Speech (TTS) option available with Standard and Premium packages allows you to dynamically convert written text into synthesized speech, which can then be spoken aloud by your character. The AI Knowledge Base is a form of Artificial Intelligence, which allows users to interact with scenes by typing in questions such as How much does this product cost? and getting back reasonably intelligent answers. This technology lets users look for answers in a much more intuitive and enjoyable way than traditional website search engines.

C.11A Local Map: The interactive location map and gives them the ability to zoom in, zoom out and pan around the map of Melbourne*. This service is currently only available to Melbourne based businesses.
C.11B Australia: If your business has locations around Australia, make it easy and intuitive for customers to find the contact details for their state by using KDG’s Interactive Map of Australia. This graphical tool allows users to click on their state
on an Interactive Map of Australia. Each state highlights as the users mouse hovers over it and when clicked, takes them to your contact details in the selected state.
This service is priced per state and includes data entry of contact details.
C.11B Australia: If your business has locations around Australia, make it easy and intuitive for customers to find the contact details for their state by using KDG’s Interactive Map of Australia. This graphical tool allows users to click on their state on an Interactive Map of Australia. Each state highlights as the users mouse hovers over it and when clicked, takes them to your contact details in the selected state.

C.11C Other Country: If your business has branch offices in other countries with more than one office in any other country then this option is for you. KDG will trace the appropriate region or state in that country and as with the Australia Map, will allow your customers and prospects to find your contact details using this graphical tool. Each state or region highlights as the users mouse hovers over it and when clicked, takes them to your contact details in the selected state. This service is priced per state or region of the country and includes data entry of contact details.C.11D World: If your business has branch offices in other countries, why not make it easy for your customers and prospects to find your contact details by using an interactive map of the world. This graphical tool allows users to click on the country of their choice on an Interactive Map of the World. Each country of interest highlights as the users mouse hovers over it and when clicked, takes them to your contact details in the selected country. Keeping your customers informed of the latest news and events is a vital part of a company’s public relations strategy. Making sure that the information is correctly displayed and archived systematically using conventional content management systems can be both time consuming and error-prone. Thankfully, KDG’s News & Events System makes it quick and easy for you to post the latest news and events on your website.

The Calendar Interface is designed to integrate with the News & Events System however it can be used on its own to access specific sections or other information. The Calendar Interface displays the days of the month in the same format as a printed calendar (ie. Monday to Sunday) however any date that contains an event or linked information is represented as a clickable hyperlink. Clicking the link will take you to information about the event or to a specific section. The Calendar Interface integrates into the Kinetic Site Manager for easy updating.
C.13 Member Login System
Imagine being able to create your own secure (login required) sections on your website which only authorised staff or members can view. KDG have developed a powerful Member Login System option that lets you create unlimited private sections that can only be accessed via a secure username and password. Use these sections to deliver premium content to paying subscribers, confidential information to site members or company wide information to staff. The Member Login System integrates into the Kinetic Site Manager so you can be sure it will be easy to manage and update information.
The Member Login System includes a login box on the public site so users can enter their username and password. The system then cross-references the login details with those stored on the database and if they match, allows access to the secure sections of the site. The system also includes a Password Recovery System so that if a user forgets their username and/or password, this information can be automatically emailed to the users email address.
C.14 Site Feeds
Give your customers access to the latest news and information on your website using Site Feeds. KDG can source Site Feeds for your website to match your industry and/or target demographic. Choose from the latest news, weather, sports results, stock market tickers, and many more. KDG can integrate any RSS or XML Site Feed into your website such as the site feed provided by News Interactive (www.news.com.au).
This not only helps you build up your keywords but also improves the ‘stickability’ of your site. *Note: Some Site Feeds may incur an additional monthly or yearly fee

C.15 Keyword Search Tool

Make it easy for your customers to find the information they’re looking for on your site by integrating the Keyword Search Tool. Customer’s simply have to enter a keyword into the search box, click the ‘Search’ button and the system will search through the written content in each section and display a report showing which sections the keyword appears in. The user then simply clicks on the section link to view that section. The Keyword Search Tool uses smart technology to prioritise each applicable section based on the frequency of the keyword(s). The Keyword Search Tool also works for finding products.
C.16 Printer Friendly Version
If the design of your website looks great on screen but inconsistent when printed, why not incorporate a Printer Friendly Version button on each page. The Printer Friendly Version utility creates a button on each text content section allowing users to view a Printer Friendly Version of the section so that it prints out neatly without cutting off any of the text. This utility removes the layout and presents the text in an A4 page layout, making it easier to read and print.
Note: This utility is particularly useful if your website has a black or dark coloured background with white or light coloured text as people usually don’t print these pages because they believe it uses up too much ink.
C.17 PDF Generator
If you would like your visitors to be able to generate printable PDF’s of any section of your website, KDG’s PDF Generator is the best solution. The PDF Generator creates a PDF icon on each page so that when a user clicks on the icon, the system automatically generates a PDF of the section. This system only works on Kinetic Hosting servers as it requires a custom COM object installed on the server.
C.18 Blogs

A Blog is like a personal diary on your website, where you write stuff on an ongoing basis. New stuff shows up at the top, so your visitors can read what's new. They can comment on it, link to it or even email you. Blogs are a powerful tool for voicing your opinions, sharing your thoughts and feelings regarding certain issues or even collecting and sharing things that you find interesting. Many people use Blogs just to organize their own thoughts, while others command influential, worldwide audiences of thousands. Professional and amateur journalists use Blogs to publish breaking news, while personal journalers reveal inner thoughts. Whatever you have to say, a Blog can help you say it.
The Blogging experience is about not only putting your thoughts on the web, but hearing back from and connecting with other like-minded people. Comments let readers of your site from all over the world give feedback on what you share on your Blog. You can choose whether or not you want to allow comments on a post-by-post basis and you can delete anything you don't like. Group Blogs can be excellent communication tools for small teams, families, or other groups. Give your group its own space on the web for sharing news, links, and ideas. Create your own profile to help you find people and other Blogs that share your interests. Share photos by uploading them to the Blog interface from your computer, from another website, or by attaching them to any email sent to your own mail-to-blogger address.
C.19 Forum

If your business operates in an industry that is constantly changing, give your customers the tools to stay informed by incorporating a Forum into your website. A Forum creates an online community, allowing customers to exchange information and post the latest feedback about products and services which affect your industry. The Forum is designed with security as a priority. It includes a powerful search facility and can support unlimited forums which can be organised into as many categories as you like. You can also create private forums and forums for specified user groups.
Posting messages on the Forum is very easy. Messages can have various formatting options such as font styles, font sizes, quoting, code display, image posting, emoticons, and automatic URL linking. Users can add polls, subscribe to topics and receive email notification of replies to their own topics. Administrators have full moderator controls such as topic editing, topic splitting and can delete, move, lock and unlock posts. If it’s censorship you’re worried about, the Forum system has a word censoring database and if the system is abused, Administrators can ban users based on their email address, username or single/ multiple IP addresses.
C.20 Chat Room

Chat rooms let your website visitors chat with each other in real time, bringing them back to your site time and again. KDG’s Chat Room supports an unlimited number of channels, including private, password protected channels where Chatters can invite other chatters from their list of friends. Chatters can change the design of their chat window to a personalised theme. URL’s, email addresses, and links are automatically transformed to a hyperlink inside the text frame. Chat windows can also be set to moderated channels if required.
